I use Discovery Education quite often to supplement the curriculum.
Here is a clip from a Magic School Bus that I can show my students when we are learning about light:

Here is a great video on patterns that I found on Teacher Tube:
I found these videos and used them from about April until the end of the year. The kids absolutely loved singing, dancing and learning all at the SAME time!

Tool #2 Building Community in the Online Environment
I have commented on 5 fellow teachers blogs. As I have been reading through some of the blogs I have found some really great ideas to use in my classroom. I was looking at the blogs that Stacye Foster follows and I found one that will be useful as I plan math activities for the 2011-2012 school year, http://loryevanspage.blogspot.com/. She has lots of great ideas for math lessons and tubs.
I really like the idea of participating in an online community, it gives you the opportunity to see what other teachers are doing in their classroom. As for sharing my thoughts publicly, in my opinion it is easier to walk across the hall and share my thoughts with my team. However, sharing my thoughts publicly allows other educators to see what I am doing in my classroom.

Tool #1 Creating a Blog
I really enjoyed creating my blog. It was definitely much easier than I anticipated. I can't wait to learn about all of the ways to incorporate technology in my classroom.
